Backbends can be challenging both physically and mentally, but often provide the energetic shift we need to release tension, change perspective, and realign with our center. This all-levels workshop will allow you explore that connection to your true self by opening your heart and looking within.
The workshop will begin with a moderate paced flow to move the spine in all directions - flexion, extension, rotation, and lateral movement - and create freedom around the heart to prepare for deeper backbends. It will focus on proper alignment and provide students with the opportunity to explore deeper backbends with variations and modifications as needed.
